Week 1

Tuesday 3 February.   

Farming fun and Agricultural adventures!                                                                                                                                                        Visit Cruden Farm and play some heritage children’s games Dame Elisabeth Murdoch played as a girl, that have had a long and enduring history.  Investigate the different types of food still growing in the garden and paddocks on this magnificent property.


Week 2

Tuesday 10 February. 

Yogalates at Cruden Farm.

Learn the ABC’s of yoga with children. Find and pot up an acorn, make an oak-leaf crown.  

Breathe fresh air and enjoy relaxing story time under an old majestic oak tree.


Week 3

Tuesday 17 February 

Discover mythical creatures that live at Cruden Farm.

Come exploring through mystical bushland, home to many creatures including magical ones! 

Make shelters and gardens for the bush fairies, elves and pixies that live at Cruden Farm, using found natural items. 


Week 4

Tuesday 24 February

Ponding for ‘creek critters’ at Cruden Farm. 

Use a dip-net to catch, examine and identify some aquatic macro invertebrates. 

Make your favourite ‘water bug’ from seed pods found on a treasure hunt in nature. 


Week 5

Tuesday 3 March

Learn Cruden Farm’s beekeeping secrets.  

Observe bees busy at work collecting pollen and nectar from the garden, taste the honey from their hives and make some ‘honey hand-cream’. Learn how bees benefit us, sing bee songs, play buzzy games and dance the ‘waggle dance’. 


Week 6

Tuesday 10 March                                                                                          Exciting Easter antics

Share Easter games and discover why the Australian Easter Bilby is so special. Create an Easter Bilby or Bunny picture using items found in nature. Find evidence that the Easter bunny loves visiting Cruden Farm!                                                                      

                                    


FEES

  • Costs to attend 6 week sessions are $174 for 1st child and $90 for others attending from same family (over 14 months old).
